It's an extremely powerful mop and vacuum cleaner. It completed our 1,500 square feet test area in just 101 minutes, before the battery died and it returned to its dock. Its mop is automatically cleaned between uses. This feature helps reduce costs for maintenance while keeping its pads clean. A dock sensor detects the moment a mop pad gets dirty and initiates a wash cycle.
The S8 MaxV Ultra, like its predecessors, has an intelligent system that can recognize things that are commonplace, like shoes and pet waste by using a combination of a camera and LIDAR. It was a great performer in our test of obstacle avoidance and had only one issue in my testing (it was stuck when in unwinding a ball of wool that was wrapped around its brush arm).

The S8 MaxV Ultra boasts a new suction power of 10,000pa. power, more than double its predecessor. This makes it a good choice for homes with lots of carpet and a mix of floor kinds. The vacuum can be programmed to automatically increase suction when it moves over crumbs or dust.
Similar to previous models, there are docking stations that can be placed in different rooms to help automate the process of cleaning and mopping. The docking station can be connected to the plumbing system and drain and replenish the tank of water when you're done.
4. Dreametech X40 Ultra
The Dreame X40 Ultra is the latest top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop from Dreame and comes with several features that the company's less expensive models don't have. It features top-quality suction and can mop hard floors with incredible ease. It comes with a variety of advanced features such as auto-extending mop head and self-detangling brush rollers. The X40 Ultra offers automatic cleaning of its base station and dust collector filter. The mop pads are automatically cleaned with hot water and then drained, and the drained water tank is automatically emptied after every cleaning session.
It provides advanced options to customise the cleaning schedule. For example you can set a specific start and stop time for each cycle, or whether it should be able to vacuum carpets first before mopping. It is also able to be instructed to re-clean areas that are particularly filthy and then increase its suction power around litter boxes for cats and pet food bowls. The X40 Ultra can be programmed to perform specific tasks at the touch of a button for example, cleaning the kitchen sink or bathroom toilet. It can be programmed to automatically raise the front side brush when it detects wet areas and clean up debris around the edges and baseboards.
The X40 Ultra is easy to set up and use, with an easy-to-use and user-friendly app and a broad range of features. It is quieter than many corded vacuums, and has only occasional low hums from its motor and a burst of suction when cleaning. Its navigation system is impressive and utilizes an image camera that has 3D structured light as well as multiple lasers to locate and avoid obstacles, and this assists the X40 Ultra achieve one of the highest scores for obstacle avoidance in our tests.

The Eufy S1 Pro is an extremely powerful vacuum and mop combination that was designed to be easy for users. The S1 Pro's navigation and mapping capabilities are excellent, with the internal dToF LiDAR device that allows it to keep an unobtrusive appearance while offering top-of-the-line object avoidance. It can drive close to walls and avoid steps without falling. It also raises the mop automatically when driving on short-pile or rugs carpets. However, it struggled in the presence of carpets with a longer pile and also large, thick messes of dried-on debris.
The S1 Pro is ready to be used right from the moment you purchase it, and it requires only just a few minutes of mapping to discover your home. The map will be displayed in the app and you can add or merge rooms as you need to. You can also set virtual boundaries as well as no-go zones or no-mop zones in case there's something you don't want the robot to get into.
The S1 Pro does a great job of removing messes from hard floors due to its rotating mop head, which puts 2.2lbs (1kg) of downward pressure on the floor. Its ability both to mop and vacuum makes it a great option for homes with floors of both types. However, its dependence on Eufy cleaning products (which are included in the box) could make it less adaptable than other robots which allow you to add your own cleaning products.
